About Me

My Story

In 5th grade, I would tell anyone who listened that I planned to cure Alzheimer’s. I was inexplicably drawn to the world of science—to its willingness to grow and evolve, its optimism in the face of a challenge, and, of course, its stories.

After my first lab classes in high school, it became clear that my place wasn’t at a lab stool. It was the stories that really mattered to me all along, so instead of curing Alzheimer’s, I set my sights on writing.

Today, I take my role as a storyteller as seriously as 5th-grade-me took my ambitions as a scientist. I believe in the power of the written word. I love using language to uplift brands and organizations that matter.

As a freelance writer, I weave together narratives that increase brand awareness, drive conversions, and boost revenue for my clients. All of my work is bolstered by my BBA degree in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin. I approach copywriting from a marketing lens, endlessly curious about consumer psychology and how to nudge an audience toward a desired action.

My Experience

Like many people, my writing trajectory has been anything but linear. I began my career at a nonprofit that focused on energy poverty: the idea that many low-income folks get trapped in cycles of poverty because their energy bills are so high.

I then became a one-man content team at a video production company based in LA, overseeing strategy, content creation, and distribution for blog articles, videos, email newsletters, experiential campaigns, and more.

Then, craving a bit more variety in my day-to-day, I jumped into the freelance world by way of Fiverr and earned over 500 five-star reviews for my work (plus a single one-star review to keep me humble!). During my Fiverr tenure, I ghostwrote for executives in AdWeek, managed a prominent influencer’s email marketing strategy, and wrote thousands of pieces of content for brands worldwide.

Today, I’m working directly with well-known brands like Claire’s and Life Storage, and my work has been featured in Business Insider and Buffer. If you’re looking for support with content strategy or copywriting, I’d love to chat!
